About Your Stay

The Trail Hotel is located in Bardstown, KY – which is approximately 39 miles/45 mins to an hour drive from Louisville and the Louisville International Airport.

Check-in at the Trail Hotel begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for a fee, depending on availability.

All standard rooms contain a mini-fridge and microwave. The Suites at The Trail Hotel contain an additional fridge.

While we are not currently offering room service at The Trail Hotel, guests are welcome to order food from the bar and take it back to their room.

We do have a pool, which is open daily from 10am-9pm. Learn more about the pool and Swim Club Bar here. The Swim Club Bar is open seasonally Thursday-Sunday 10-9. Currently, we do not have a fitness center.

Dining options at The Trail Hotel include our full-service restaurant Oak & Ember. You may also dine at Embers Bar, or out at the pool during season at the Swim Club Bar. Breakfast is not automatically included. Guests can order breakfast daily at Oak & Ember.

Overnight parking is free at The Trail Hotel for guests.

No. The Trail Hotel does not provide an airport shuttle at this time.

We can accommodate smaller weddings for up to 100 guests.

Cancellation policies at The Trail vary based on the booking rate. Most individual reservations require 72 hours’ notice before check-in to avoid fees. Group and event bookings follow contract terms.

Yes! We have a two dog limit, and a 50lb max. Your pet can enjoy the Trail Hotel for a one-time $50 fee.
