Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the hotel opened in 1970 as the Holiday Inn Bardstown, “an important and unique place in the life of the community,” hosting countless weddings, banquets, and business meetings.

An Architectural Gem

The building’s design warranted a front page article in the Bardstown Kentucky Standard, which noted that while it was Modernist in character, it featured several Historicist details to create an exterior that blended the traditional and the modern.
